Meteora

Rising out of the plain of Thessaly are the towering rock outcrops of Meteora. The scenery is weirdly wonderful, made even more breathtaking by the 33 monasteries which crown some of the pinnacles. Unfortunately there is no longer an organised excursion running from Skopelos to Meteora. Don't let this discourage you; we can help you plan your own memorable outing to this amazing place:

We can organise Flying Dolphin tickets for you from Skopelos to Volos, car hire from Volos port, and pension/hotel accommodation for a night or two at Kalambaka (the small town at the foot of Meteora). This means that you will have much more time to explore the monasteries, and take in the superb vistas of the whole region.
