Like many of the old families of Skopelos, Madro Travel Skopelos Greece has a long tradition of involvement in all aspects of the island. You can read a little about this in Michael Carroll's book 'An Island in Greece"* (formerly published as 'Gates of the Wind), in which he describes his love affair with Skopelos and his developing and enduring relationship with Vangelis - Machi's father- his family and friends.
Madro Travel aims to establish cultural activities that will deepen knowledge and interest in the island and its people and inform visitors about the real Greece.
To this end, we are flagging up the Green Week activities that will take place in May and have set up the workshops on painting icons, also in May.
