A vow renewal is a ceremony where a couple express their enduring love.
It is a sentimental rather than an official legal exercise, in order to commemorate an important milestone in a happy and successful relationship.

We at Madro Travel have devised a simple service which mirrors the Traditional Greek Wedding Sacrament. The couple make declarations, exchange rings if they wish,
experience the Service of Crowning, drink from the Common Cup, recieve the Valediction and are saluted by their family and friends with the throwing of rice and rose petals. - a traditional way in which Greeks shower the couple with their good wishes.
All the traditions and customs are explained and you can borrow our crowns, or have one made for you on Skopelos that can be converted into a necklace - a lasting memento of a wonderful occasion.
Finally, guests are given traditional bombonieres. This is an Eastern Orthodox tradition which is over 3,000 years old. Filled with Koufetias— sugar coated almonds– the favours are given as tokens of good fortune and happiness. Bombonieres are symbolic of life with their bittersweet taste. The sugar coating represents the hope that life will be blessed with more sweetness than bitterness. Bombonieres are always filled with an odd number of almonds. The odd number is indivisible and symbolizes the union and indivisibility of the newly married couple. 5 almonds represent the the five most important ingredients of a marriage bond: Health, Wealth, Happiness, Fertility and a Long Life.
A vow making or renewal is a marvelous way to have a true Greek experience!
