The Monastery of Agia Barbara was founded in 1697. One of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, St Barbara is the patron saint of artillery men, engineers and miners. The architecture of the monastery looks like a fortress; a tall stone wall surrounds the church, whilst its location overlooks the sea. Beautiful and peaceful, it is the ideal situation for a wedding or vow renewal.
